The design goal for this country barn was to create a kitchen with the look of custom furniture pieces rather than a working kitchen. The space features hardworking quartzite super white countertops which provide durability and elegance. All cabinetry is painted to match the walls in order that they subtly disappear into the background. A warm iroko wood tops the sideboard, the handleless painted island adds a modern touch and an integrated coffee station provides additional hidden functionality. To maintain the cohesive look, black hardware and appliances are set against a dark painted finish, making them almost invisible and ensuring that the overall effect is understated, sophisticated and timeless.
