The 60-30-10 rule for using colour in interior design is a tried, tested and successful way to give balance to a room. Use a main colour as a backdrop - here we used stone, followed by a secondary colour to add depth and personality ( dusty rose) and finally an accent colour. Although black doesn’t necessarily count as a true colour, the black enamel top on the Aga oven creates a focal point where all the cooking happens.
